We will always love you. No one can take your place in my heart. Mama

Ch. Quailroost Wedgwood (Woody), 05/19/87-02/12/00

Today we lost a very special member of our family.

Woody came into our lives when he was four years old. He was a retired champion living at the home of his breeder, Ms. Urmard Hill of Rougemont, NC. When we went to see Ms. Hill, we had all intentions of leaving with a greyhound puppy. My husband, Win, had never owned a dog of his own and had always wanted a greyhound. Ms. Hill told us she had a four year old male that she had to keep in the kennel because of the six bitches she kept inside, and that Woody was just too good of a dog to have to stay in the kennel. He needed to be in a good, loving home. She told us if we would agree to take Woody, she would let us have him, free of charge. Once we saw Woody, we knew we couldn't refuse. She took us into the kitchen, where Woody and the six females, two of them his sisters, were laying on their beds. They all gracefully stood up and came over to greet us, tails wagging, and then went back to lay down. When we went over to pet Woody, he looked up at us with those big brown eyes, and we were hooked. We loaded him up in the car, along with a big bag of dog food, compliments of Urmgard, and headed home. On the way home Woody heaved a big sigh which sounded like a horse. We weren't sure what to think. When got him home, he layed on the carpet at the front door and refused to move for a week. We had to bring him his food and water. But when we put his leash on, he would go wherever we wanted. On the second week, we put his leash on and led him upstairs that night to go to bed with us. He slept in the bed with us everynight after that up until about a year ago.

Woody has brought us a lot of pleasure over the years; romping through the fields, going with us for long hikes on vacation and on Sunday afternoons. Wherever we took him people would stop and ask us about him and about greyhounds in general. We liked to think of him as an ambassador for greyhounds and that maybe he helped a few rescued racing greyhounds find good homes along the way. We will miss him laying on his spot on the couch. We will miss him barking at the pizza guy when he took our money. We will miss him dancing in circles and jumping up to kiss us when we come home. But most of all, we will miss his unconditional love.

Here's to the greatest greyhound that ever was. We'll see you at the Rainbow Bridge, Woody.

She is missed so much I think about her everyday and the house feels so empty without her. We had gotten Queenie when she was just a few months old. she had given my husband Danny and I so much love. She would sleep with us everynight and wake me up to feed her every morning. In February of this year Queenie was diagnosed with intestinal cancer, she was operating on to remove the tumor but the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and the Drs. gave her 3-6 months. Well in those months we gave her everything she wanted and I believe she had thanked us I her own way. On 8/28 Queenie had passed on in the house with her Mommy & Daddy we were with her to the end and she gave us 6 1/2 months of happiness. We had Queenie cremated so she could be with us forever. She was such a special cat and will never be forgotten in our hearts. One day I hope we can find another like her. Mommy and Daddy love you and miss you so much.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF QUEENIE
1983 - 02/06/2000

You came into our lives so small and precious. You were so sweet and you loved us unconditionally. You had a long and healthy life. We know you are enjoying it on the bridge and we look forward to when we are reunited again. We miss you so much. You will be in our hearts forever.

Lauren and Darold

She was the world's sweetest dog and passed away after a courageous battle against a vicious and aggressive cancer. Queenie was delightful and a joy to be around, she was loved and is missed by many.

Quigley, 10/15/85-09/22/99

In memory of "Quigley" our Queen

Quigley, our special girl, I thought you would live forever, always so healthy and full of life. You gave us nearly 14 years, and we so wanted you to be with us for another 14. You were the best natured shepherd we've ever known, wonderful and loving to all those you touched. We shared many heartwarming memories, and came through some difficult times together, bonded by your endless love and dedication. We think of you daily, and so wish you and Bear were still with us...one big happy family. We know you had to join Bear, that you too were ready, but Quigley, we weren't ready to let you go. You were still training Tiara, and what little time you had with her, my dear Quigs, your legacy has been left behind. You've taught her well! We miss you so much, but know now, you too had to cross the Bridge, and are now with Bear, running freely, playing and having fun together, as you once did when you were with us. You're together again, lying beside your pal, and we come to visit and speak to both of you, knowing you are free from all those aches and pains.

You will be forever in our hearts, never to be forgotten for all the times and years we shared...

Quigley, our Queen, we will always love and miss you.

Mommie, Brooklyn and Tiara

Quincy, 11/11/00

Dearest sweetest boy, Mommy and Daddy and all of your furry brothers and sisters miss you very much. We were blessed by your wonderful presence for only four years...such a short time. You were the most extraordinary cat, and we will think of you and miss you every day for the rest of our lives.

Quincy, 08/05/91-01/28/00

My very loyal and adoring friend.
