Xavier, 11/21/07

Xavier chose us. He was a rescued dog from the SPCA who had spent 2/12 years there. His first home did not work out. The ladies from the SPCA took Xavier home on the weekends with them. He was loved by them and loved even more by us. Five years ago our son walked by his cage and he won our son's heart. Sadly, cancer took his life the day before Thanksgiving. He was fine up until a week before his death. No warning; here one day and gone the next. He will be in our hearts forever with all the great memories that go with loving a pet.

Xena, 11/98-04/2007

Nearly two months to the day of losing Duchess, Xena was gone.
Victimized by lymphoma.
She was one of the sweetest and mildest dogs ever known.
The struggle continues to try and remember how she lived, not how she died.

Xena, Baby Girl, 05/01/98-09/13/07

To our Baby girl Xena cochina, you are so missed beyond belief! If only I had known more about the health issues of your beautiful yet delicate being I would hope that you could still be with your family, greeting all of us upon returning home, howling at the sound of sirens, chasing Shiloh all over the back yard to assert your alpha status or just seeing your regal black face with your gentle kind brown eyes lovingly looking back at us. All I can do is cry and cry more because of your departure to Rainbow Bridge.
Shiloh is just as sad and together we hope to get through the painful loss. We so love you forever

My Angel Baby, my "Peek a Poo", "Beanie", "Puppy",
"Poodle Head", "Shell", and all the other names you loved, I cherish our last three weeks together, your love of life, your playfulness, your appetite for all the food we shared and your visits beside me every time I opened the refrigerator necause you knew I'd be giving you something, anything that you liked on the shelves.
Your fur is still on the jelly jars, salad dressings, and the shelves,
I love you, miss you but beyond the sorrow I know we'll be together again someday.
Till then " Lullaby and goodnit, go to sleep my baby Xena"

Xena, 06/13/07

We had to put our precious girl down today (6/13/07).
She was brave till the end.
Stoic as can be, never complaining.
She was only 9. We should have had 4 or 5 more years with her but cancer decided otherwise.
We feel she -- and we -- were robbed but must accept that she is gone and allow her to move on.
We miss her already and she hasn't even been gone 24 hours.
We imagine her running in green fields, free of pain and disease.

We love you Xenie!
You'll always be with us, until we meet again.
Go well sweet girl.
We love you always and forever!!

To my baby bear...there was no other Rottie
I knew with such a gentle, loving spirit.
You were such a good friend.
Thank you for making such a difference in my life.
Thank you for taking care of Rocky through her life.
You made us feel safe and now you are safe. You will never, ever be forgotten.
You are in our hearts and our thoughts everyday.
We love you and miss you terribly.
Rest well my sweet Xena.

Xena Gann, 12/26/06

Xena was truly a princess.
She was very loved by many people.
No fence could hold her as she was the neighborhood watch dog.
Though small in stature she had a personality that was almost human.
She smiled often and walked proudly.
We will miss her every minute until we meet again on the other side.
Xena has gone to keep JoJo, Teddy, Buster, Penny, Goldie & Rascal company.
Bye for now Xena....we love you...

Xenn, 12/2005

Xenn was an amazing boy, always full of energy. He had a pancreas disease, causing him to starve to death, even thoguh he ate three times a day. WE tried everything, and there was still no saving him. We all know he feels better now and is waiting for us.

Xuxo, 02/12/07

I don't know what to do with my bread crusts now, or the cartilage from the chicken bone that would always go to Xuxo (shu-sho). He was adopted thirteen and a half years ago after suffering abuse the first years of his life. He's been a part of our life at home and where ever we've gone. When we first got him, I was in college and while I did homework at the dining room table, he'd come up and nudge his cold nose against my elbow, as if saying, "Come and play, come and pet me, come and just be with me..." And since then he became my master, showing me love and how to just be. He never complained as he aged, as going up stairs became harder. He would still go up the steps with the same gusto as he did in his youth, only slower. He kept jumping up on to the sofa no matter how hard it got until he couldn't do it anymore. And he never wanted to miss a ride in the car, even up to a week before his death. I didn't realize that I'd miss him this much. It's hard to come home to an empty house and feel him in all the corners. His peaceful spirit is so strong and we will always Love Xuxo, our little boy.
